Easy Burn Stormproof Matches have been designed with safety in mind. Safety Matches are not supposed to ignite with just a touch on the striker. This can account for two things happening, either the potential to ignite due to friction or an explosion of the head where fragments fly off either on to the person, within the vehicle being used or another area where they are not intended to be. Either way the outcome is generally not good.

To light, simply hold the match similar to holding a dart you are about to throw at a dart board. Usually with 3 fingers, the thumb and forefinger being on the uncoated part of the match and the third finger just at the start of the red part, about half way down the match.
Hit the match down onto the striker at approximately a 45 degree angle with a small amount of pressure applied.
Always strike away from the body and make sure there are no other fuel ignition sources nearby that may cause explosion on ignition such as petrol and gas.
Important – Do NOT throw down to an area that is not intended to burn as they will not simply go out easily by standing on them and there’s a good chance, you’ll put a hole in your boot. Obviously (to most) appropriate footwear should be worn at all times, double plugger thongs don’t usually meet these criteria.
